HONG KONG, Jan 21 — Malaysia plans to issue a commercial banking licence to China’s Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), Second Finance Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah said at a luncheon meeting today.
Husni did not specify any timeframe or any other details about issuance of the permit to ICBC, the world’s biggest bank by market value. — Reuters
